Currently, the world is dealing with the 4th wave of COVID, and experts predict that there will be a 5th wave. Thanks to the vaccine, many people can fight the symptoms of COVID. The booster shot will add an extra layer of safety yearly and ensure that people survive this virus.

Monitor Your Symptoms

While doing some physical activity does not help fight COVIID, it does help you avoid quarantine problems such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. It also helps you keep your mind off stressful matters. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people already having these health problems or developing them during quarantine are at greater risk of illness and even death. 

Develop Everyday Actions 

If you are quarantining alone, managing things at home isn’t too difficult. However, if you have a spouse and children, you need to maintain a safe distance from them. Here are a few rules you need to follow: 

Stay in your room 

Phone a family member or friend and ask them if they can drop food at your house until you are in quarantine 

  • Wash your hands with water and soap for 20 seconds 
  • Apply sanitizer (with 60% alcohol) to your hands 
  • Don’t touch your mouth, nose, and eyes 
  • Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing 

For safety purposes and to stop the spread, ask family members to work from home and inform the school about your condition and request them to email the assignments. 

Don’t Share Personal Items 

From bedding to towels, dishes, and even spoons, avoid sharing them with anyone in the house. As said earlier, COVID spreads through multiple ways, and one of them is touch. According to a study, the virus can survive on a surface from 2 hours to 9 days. If anyone uses the same thing you did, they might get COVID. 

Clean All Surfaces 

Keep everything you use aside to wash them later. Regularly clean all surfaces you touch or lean against, such as doorknobs, chairs, tabletops, counters, etc. 

Distract Yourself 

In quarantine, it’s the perfect time to take up a hobby or reintroduce yourself to your old one. Try to stay away from technology as much as possible because looking at pictures of people going out and enjoying themselves will only depress you.
